World Music Trader, a free online music store where the musical community can buy and sell items, will be officially launched at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) which will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California from January 19 to 22, 2017.
National Association of Music Merchants
NAMM is an opportunity for exhibitors to broaden their reach as over 100,000 attendees from more than 120 countries come to visit for this four-day event. The event is an opportunity for any brand to build hype around their products and offerings. It’s also an event where debut products can be launched. NAMM, just like any other event, also serves as a great way to connect with customers, both loyal ones and prospective ones. Since NAMM will be covered by the media, brands can make use of that opportunity to get their name out there. Lastly, musicians and other artists can also use NAMM to connect with distributors.
Being present at a big event such as NAMM will provide us with the right platform we need. There are several outlets on the web for artists who want to get their music known. There’s surely a better known free online music store somewhere out there, that musicians can sell their music on and be compensated for it. With NAMM we can show what we bring to the table.
What we can do
At the heart of our services, it may seem like there’s nothing new about what we’re providing for our consumers. However, it’s the way we go about our business that makes the difference. We are a free online music store, meaning those who want to sell through the platform don’t need to pay any fee at all. This is unlike many other ecommerce sites that require a standard fee just for wanting to become a member.
World Music Trader also doesn’t require a listing fee. In other words, an artist or creative can list as many items as they want and they won’t be charged a single thing. We do, however, collect commissions. But unlike other platforms that have high fees, only a 3% commission is being asked for by World Music Trader.
With that amount, anyone who sells items through the platform can keep most of the profits since the commission being asked for is fixed. It doesn’t matter whether the item was a record or a musical item, the commission remains the same.
